Marquise Lee Love turned himself in and was booked into the Multnomah County Detention Center on Friday shortly after 8:30 a.m. local time, according to jail records. He was accused of assault, coercion and rape, all three of whom are criminals, records show.

Love, who also bears the name “Keese Love”, appears several times on video to have been captured and beaten on a man who was later identified in reports as Adam Haner.
In a recent interview with local subsidiary FOX 12 Oregon, Haner said after the crash of his car, someone was ‘grabbing’ him from his truck before I even had my door open. ‘

Haner was seen on video turning the engine of his truck and the car slowly rolling forward until he was riding – all while people from the group could be seen running to the car, kicking and yelling. Moments before he left, one of the crowd saw his girlfriend hitting and jumping on his girlfriend, who was reportedly identified as Tammie Martin.
Shortly before 10:30 a.m. Sunday, police responded to a 911 call from someone who reported that protesters were chasing “a white Ford” 4×4 truck, which then crashed downtown, according to a press release from the department. A caller told police that an estimated nine to 10 people began “beating the man,” the caller explained.

“Investigators learned that the victim may have been trying to help a transgender woman who had stolen some of her belongings in the area … where this incident began,” police said late Monday.
Haner, who was still unconscious when police arrived, was taken to a local hospital and was later released. He is now recovered.
It is not clear if police are looking for additional suspects in connection with the attack, but on Wednesday, Portland Police Bureau Captain Tina Jones told Fox News, “We are investigating criminal acts in connection with this incident.”
