Portland police are looking to identify a man who was seen on video walking with suspected attacker Marquise Love, officials announced.
Police announced on Thursday that they are asking the man – whom they only identified as a witness – to come forward rather than in front of the public to talk about his identity, as they continue their investigation into Sunday night’s attack in the city center. , where a man identified in reports when Adam Haner was attacked after people from a group accused him of trying to drive into them.

Authorities shared a screenshot of video captured by “Lives Matter” reporter Drew Hernandez, which shows the man wearing a blue shirt with a pattern on the bottom and on the pants pocket.
“The witness may have been in contact with the suspect in Lownsdale Square before the attack,” officials added.
Haner was seen on video turning the engine of his truck and the car slowly rolling forward until he was riding – all while people from the group could be seen running to the car, kicking and yelling. Moments before he left, one of the crowd saw his girlfriend hitting and jumping on his girlfriend, who was reportedly identified as Tammie Martin.

Shortly before 10:30 a.m. Sunday, police responded to a 911 call from someone who reported that Protestants were chasing “a white Ford” bike for four, which then crashed downtown, according to a press release from the department. After someone tells Haner to “close the f-up”, a person who seems to be Love starts hitting and hitting him several times as others try to pull him away. That’s when the person runs after Haner and kicks him, causing him to lose consciousness.

Haner, who was still unconscious when police arrived, was taken to a local hospital and was later released. Police said he is recovering.
In a recent interview with local subsidiary FOX 12 Oregon, Haner said after the crash of his car, someone was ‘grabbing’ him from his truck before I even had my door open. ‘
‘I just stood as a citizen for myself,’ he told the station, ‘and if you can not do that on the street, what can you do?’
On Tuesday, investigators identified Love, 25, as a suspect and said they had probable cause for his arrest. Officials are still searching for him.

Asked on Wednesday if police were looking for additional suspects in the attack, Portland Police Bureau Captain Tina Jones told Fox News: “We are investigating criminal acts in connection with this incident.”
