Pop SmokeFans have spoken, loud and clear, the cover designed by Virgil Abloh because the rapper’s posthumous album is rubbish … so a change is coming.
Pop’s long-awaited album, “Shoot for the Stars, Aim for the Moon” will be released on July 3, but when the cover was revealed on Monday … it was widely derided and roasted, and fans immediately demanded a replay.
Among the most common complaints about the cover … the lazy work of Photoshop, along with the use of a photo of Smoke, is the first to appear in Google images.
In his defense, when Abloh published the artwork, he said he had just finished it and explained … “The cover of this album was one of the 5 things we talked about. He mentioned that his story seemed like the metaphor of a rose and thorns growing from the concrete of his hood in Canarsie, Brooklyn. “

However, fans weren’t buying it. Even 50 cents – a mentor to the hip-hop star – Abloh yelled.
Fifth tweeted … “Hi Virgil, we need a new cover, don’t go after these bulls ** t. I love your job, let’s do it. Steven, I told you this was ** Eww, let’s do it right! “
That Steven is Pop’s manager, Steven Victor, who has already made it clear that Abloh’s art will be remade before the album’s release.
Victor says Pop, who was on the rise when he was shot to death in February in a house invasion: he would listen to his fans and make a change … so that’s what they are going to do.
It’s unclear if Abloh will get another shot or if the cover will be done by someone else, but you have to think … anything new will be an improvement.
