Democrats also have an advantage edge when it comes to the bottom half of the ticket.
The Fox News poll was conducted from August 9-12 and more than half of the interviews were completed after Biden selected senior Kamala Harris (D-Calif.) As its vice president.
The poll finds that 44 percent of voters consider Harris favorable, while 40 percent consider them unfavorable. Vice President Mike Pence, on the other hand, is favorably viewed by 41 percent of voters and unfavorable by 51 percent.
A majority of voters, 54 percent, disapproved of Trump’s presidency. More voters are relying on Trump to treat Biden on the economy by a margin of four percentage points.
The race has been tougher since June, when Fox News found that Biden had a 12-point advantage over Trump, 50 percent to 38 percent.
The Fox News poll was conducted by phone Aug. 9-12 among 1,000 registered voters nationwide. Results of the full survey have an error margin of plus or minus three percentage points.
