Alleged thief of lottery ticket attempted to break into cars at casino

PLAINS TWP. A man accused of stealing lottery tickets from a Wilkes-Barre Township company that led police to the discovery of a motel room full of illegal drugs was arrested by Plains Township police on charges he tried to break into cars outside the Mohegan Sun Casino early Wednesday morning.

Kevin Lee Green, 30, was charged by Plains Township police with criminal attempt to commit theft from a car and possession of drug paraphernalia.

According to the criminal charges:

Plains Township police responded to the casino at about 2:40 a.m. on a report Green had allegedly tried to enter numerous locked cars, gaining access to a BMW X5.

After Green was tracked down, an officer noticed a knife coming out of his pocket.

During a search, police found all of Green in possession of two syringes, a glass jar containing a damp piece of cotton and two packages often used to store heroin. Green admitted to using syringes to inject heroin, the complaints say.

Wilkes-Barre Township police identified Green as the person responsible for stealing scratch cards from the Citgo service station on Wilkes-Barre Township Boulevard on August 4.

The theft of the lottery ticket led police to a motel in Dupont, where a police officer from Officer Wilkes-Barre Township dressed in a motel uniform knocked on the door of the room on Aug. 6.

Authorities found more than 1,100 packages of heroin and fentanyl, nearly $ 1,000 cash, methamphetamine, marijuana and packaging materials in the motel room, including 50 heroin and fentanyl packages in Green’s shoes, the complaints say.

Green, Brady Charles Hall, 31, Anthony Deluca, 31, George Raap, 39, and Michelle Houser, of unknown age, were sitting in the motel room at the time it was searched by authorities.

Union County online court records say Buffalo Valley Regional Police Hall was accused of supplying drugs, resulting in death and other crimes alleging he was supplying illegal drugs to a person who died of an overdose on May 29.

Green, of Grove Street, Wilkes-Barre, was charged with possession with intent to supply a controlled substance, criminal conspiracy to supply a controlled substance, possession of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Green was written Wednesday by District Judge Joseph Halesey of Hanover Township about the charges filed by Plains Township and Dupont police. He was jailed at the Lucerne County Correctional Facility for lack of $ 100,000 total bail.

Hall, of Milton, is charged with two counts of possession with intent to supply a controlled substance and one counts each with possession of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Raab, of Hazleton, was charged with two counts of possession with intent to supply a controlled substance and one count each with possession of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Houser, of Bloomsburg, is accused of two counts of possession with intent to supply a controlled substance and one counts each of possession of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Hall, Raap and Houser are not arrained about drug trafficking crimes.

Deluca, address listed as homeless, is jailed at the provincial correctional facility for lack of $ 75,000 bail on costs of possession with intent to supply a controlled substance, criminal collusion with intent to supply a controlled substance, possession of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia.
