Police say only Mont Montana and wife Jennifer foiled allegations of kidnapping a 9-month-old grandson


The home intruder tried to take the 9-month-old grandson before he and his wife Jennifer foiled the abduction, Los Angeles police said Sunday. Montana tweeted On Sunday it was a “scary situation, but thankfully everyone is doing well.”

According to police, Montana told them that while her 9-month-old granddaughter was sleeping in the playpen on Saturday, an unidentified woman allegedly entered the residence and removed the baby from the playpen and held the baby in her arms. Police said Montana and his wife confronted the woman, tried to escalate the situation and asked her to return to her grandchildren.

A “fight” ensued and Jennifer Montana managed to safely cut the baby out of the suspect’s hand, police said. The suspect then fled and Montana saluted the police. After exploring the area, subordinates found the suspect and took him into custody.

He was charged with kidnapping and burglary.

No one, including a child, was injured.

In his tweet on Sunday, Montana thanked everyone who reached out to Montana and asked for privacy.
