A gunman was arrested Thursday night outside the Pennsylvania Convention Center, which was counting votes, after police received news of an alleged conspiracy to attack the venue, a new report said.
The WPVI reported that a group of Virginia people were reported to police after they were driving toward a convention center with a plan to strike at gunpoint.
At about 10:50 a.m., a man inside a Vietnamese restaurant around the center was taken into custody.
Police found a weapon and located a Hummer. It is not yet clear whether the man arrested outside the center is linked to the alleged attack conspiracy.
Election activists inside the Downtown Convention Center are actively tabulating the mail-in ballot in a state of war.
As of late Thursday night, President Trump led the state with a razor-thin margin of about 24,000 votes, with 94 percent tabulated.
More mail-in ballots need to be counted in Pittsburgh’s Allegheny County.
Trump’s campaign earlier in the day tried unsuccessfully to block a Philadelphia vote saying his supporters were not allowed to monitor mail-in ballot ballots.
