Pokemon Go Gastly Community Day guide: best moves and start times

Pokemon goGastly Community Day will take place on July 19 from 11 am to 5 pm in your local time zone.

In addition to the bonds that Niantic established for Pokemon Let’s go Due to the coronavirus pandemic, such as better incense and fewer required walking distances, Gastly will breed everywhere over a period of six hours.

How do i get a Sparkly Gastly?

Since Gastly will appear everywhere, just tap every Gastly you see until you get a Brilliant one. You’ll find one sooner or later, as the Shiny rate on community days increases to a rate of one in 24.

What special move does Gengar learn?

If your Gastly became a Gengar from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. local time on July 19, the Gengar will learn Shadow Punch. This isn’t the best move for PvE content, like raids or gyms, but it’s pretty good for PvP content.

How do I make the most of this Community Day?

Gengar is a pretty good ghost-type Pokémon, so you should try to catch one or two of them with high IVs to empower your team. Set up your Gengar with Shadow Claw and Shadow Ball for PvE content.

Eggs will also hatch ^one⁄_{4 4} the usual distance when placed in incubators during the event period. This is a boost for the current set ^one⁄_two hatching distance, so be sure to put the eggs you have into the incubators. The incense will also last three hours during the event period.
