After beginning his comedy career, Brooks began working with “The Majority Report” in 2012 as a producer, and soon became a contributor. Brooks became a co-author of the progressive podcast over the years, discussing news and politics from his democratic socialist point of view. In 2017 Brooks launched his own political podcast, “The Michael Brooks Show”, and in 2020 he began co-hosting “Weekends” with Ana Kasparian. Brooks was a regular contributor to “The Young Turks” podcast and to media such as HuffPost and The Washington Post. He wrote the 2020 book “Against the Web: A Cosmopolitan Response to the New Right”.
