Kanye West has a message for his wife Kim Kardashian: sorry.
On Saturday, the 43-year-old rapper and presidential hopeful took to Twitter to issue a formal apology to the “Keeping Up With the Kardashians” star. Kanye also apologized to his wife of six years, after their marriage made headlines and he made recent comments about her and her family.
“I would like to apologize to my wife Kim for publicizing something that was a private matter,” designer Yeezy wrote on Twitter on Saturday. “I didn’t cover her like she has covered me.”
“To Kim I want to say that I know I hurt you. Please forgive me. Thank you for always being there for me,” he closed.
Kim has not yet publicly evaluated Kanye’s apology.
The apology to the founder of KKW Beauty comes five days after he posted cryptic messages about her, her mother-in-law Kris Jenner, and other members of the Kardashian-Jenner family.
“Kriss [sic] don’t play games with me and that calm is not allowed around my children, “wrote the rapper in tweets deleted since earlier this week.” You’ll try to lock me up already. “

“Kriss [sic] and Kim is calling me now, “he said in a subsequent tweet, before uploading a screenshot of a text message he allegedly sent to the Kardashian-Jenner family matriarch.
“This is Ye,” said the alleged text message. “Are you ready to talk now or do you keep avoiding my calls [?]”
Another tweet referenced comments he made at his first campaign rally in South Carolina on Sunday, July 19. At the public event, Kanye cried as he revealed that he and Kim allegedly considered terminating their pregnancy.
He tweeted, “Kim was trying to fly to Wyoming with a doctor to lock me up like in the Get Out movie because I cried for saving my daughter’s life yesterday.”
On Wednesday, July 22, Kim broke the silence about her husband’s tweets. She also asked her millions of followers to be sensitive and understanding, as Kanye continues to struggle with bipolar disorder.
“[Kanye] He is a brilliant but complicated person who, in addition to the pressures of being an artist and a black man, who experienced the painful loss of his mother, has to deal with the pressure and isolation that increases his bipolar [sic] disorder, “he wrote at the time.” Those around Kanye know his heart and understand his words sometimes they don’t align with his intentions. “
“We, as a society, talk about giving grace to the issue of mental health as a whole, but we should also give it to the people who live with it when they need it most,” Kim concluded. “I kindly ask that the media and the public give us the compassion and empathy that is needed for us to overcome this. Thank you for those who have expressed concern for Kanye’s well-being and understanding.”
From his statement, a source told E! News, “Kim decided to speak up because his heart aches for Kanye and anyone dealing with mental illness. He also wanted to dispel the misinformation that is spreading.”
“She tries to keep her family affairs private and is very upset that she lashed out at the family,” added the source.
The source noted that Kim stayed in Los Angeles, while Kanye stayed in Wyoming at his ranch. In fact, some of the rapper’s closest friends and colleagues have flown in to visit him.

On Friday night, Kanye posted a candid photo of Bieber and Damon Dash, co-founder of Roc-A-Fella Records, sitting in what appeared to be an outdoor facility on the property.
