Pixar’s ‘Soul’ is heading to Dutch theaters, Disney + for Christmas

Disney’s “Soul” will no longer enter theaters. The new Pixar animated feature will instead come on the company’s streaming service Disney + on December 25th.

Seanworld, which owns Regal Cinemas, is based in the U.S. Has closed more than 500 theaters. That loss has forced Disney and other studios to rethink their distribution strategy.

Unlike Disney’s “Mulan”, which left theaters to go to Disney + in September, it looks like “Soul” will be free as part of a traditional streaming on-demand service.
