Photos: Apple will ship a new 20W power adapter with iPhone 12

The iPhone 11 Pro comes with an 18W USB-C power adapter, but the cheaper iPhone 11 only comes with the 5W charger.

For at least some iPhone 12 models, it now appears that Apple is updating the power adapter to a new 20W USB-C adapter. The photos were released today by Mr White filter on Twitter.

There will be four iPhone 12 models, a new 5.4-inch screen size, two 6.1-inch models and a 6.7-inch high-end ‘Max’. We believe that one of the 6.1-inch phones and 6.7-inch phones will feature the LiDAR triple camera and scanner system, so these are probably the new ‘Pro’ models.

It’s unclear if the 20W power adapter will ever be Pro-exclusive again or if Apple will add fast-charging power adapters to the full iPhone lineup this year. The iPhone 11 Pro was the first time that Apple shipped higher-powered chargers with power delivery, including a Lightning port to USB-C.

On a related note, Apple isn’t expected to include headphones in the iPhone 12 case this year.
