Persona 5 scramble confirmed for western release

Since its February release in Japan, many fans have been wondering if the latest Persona hack-and-slash spin-off, Persona 5 Scramble: The Phantom Strikers, would see a Western release. The Persona Central translation of Koei Tecmo’s recent financial reports gives hope that Phantom Thieves applicants in North America and Europe will get their wish.

According to these reports, The Phantom Strikers will come to Switch and PS4, with its launch region designated as “The West.” No official release date accompanied the report, but at least we now know that the game is slated for location.

While exciting, this location reveal isn’t exactly surprising. In a briefing on the end of her fiscal year last April, Koei Tecmo confirmed that she still had plans to locate Persona 5 Scramble. These plans, combined with reports that both Persona 5 Royal and Persona 5 Scramble exceeded their sales expectations in Japan, make bearing the title overseas obvious.

That said, we haven’t heard from Atlus on the matter yet. Hopefully that means an announcement soon, but for now eager fans can watch the Japanese demo to whet your appetite.
