A modder is giving Persona fans what we’ve always wanted: a mod from Yosuke’s tenth social link event in Persona 4 Golden.
For those who don’t know, unused audio was pulled from Person 4Archives from many moons ago. The audio, which has Yosuke confessing his love for the protagonist, has haunted fans for years and we’ve spent a lot of time mourning the loss of Yosuke. Being the protagonist’s right hand man, he has a social bond, although he never had an in-game romance, despite the fact that these voice lines were hidden among the files.
Now that Persona 4 Golden is on Steam, the doors for mods have been wide open. A modder, MadMax1960, is adding Yosuke’s removed romantic social link back to the game. It’s only 10% finished as of this writing, and while the demo doesn’t show Yosuke using the abandoned voice lines, it appears the mod is planning to add them.
The clip that MadMax1960 uploaded to show the status of the mod is not polished, but it will give you a general idea of what to expect.
There is no estimated date for when the mod will take place, but thanks, MadMax1960, for doing the lord’s job.
