Penn State QB goal set to announce


Penn State may be nearing a compromise from its quarterback in the Class of 2022. Caller York (Pa.) Central York on Tuesday Beau Pribula He unveiled his plans for an engagement.

“I will announce my engagement on Monday, August 3 [at] 2 pm, “he said through his Twitter account.

Penn State has all four picks on the 247Sports Crystal Ball for the three-star prospect, including picks from 247Sports national analyst Brian Dohn and Sean Fitz and Tyler Donohue of Lions247. The Nittany Lions offered in March and the teams arrived shortly thereafter.

“My family has always been a huge Penn State fan, so I am very thankful to have the opportunity to play soccer there,” Pribula said at the time.

The 6-foot-2-inch, 195-pound prospect is no stranger to campus. He camped twice for the staff last summer and tasted good. He even ran routes as a tight end during the program’s White Out Camp last June, when camp was light in position. He also visited the Nittany Lions return victory over Purdue in early October.

Pribula threw for 1,244 yards, rushed for 365 yards, and represented 18 total touchdowns in eight games as a sophomore. He also played wide receiver in his first year, but plans to be a college-level quarterback.

“I want to go to a place where I think I can really play; make an impact early,” Pribula said. “And I just want a place that feels like home. So any school that can do that for me, that’s the one I’ll choose.”

Nebraska, Northwestern, Rutgers, Syracuse, Virginia Tech, Wake Forest, and West Virginia have also featured among the five energy programs. He is rated a three-star prospect by 247Sports and is the country’s No. 10 double-threat quarterback. It is the 11th prospect in Pennsylvania in the class of 2022.

Since James Franklin’s arrival in 2014, the Nittany Lions have only offered three quarterbacks from Keystone State. That number includes the Ohio 2021 state pledge. Kyle McCord, who plays his high school ball at St. Joseph’s Prep while residing in his home state of New Jersey. The Nittany Lions also featured the Pine-Richland quarterback. Phil Jurkovec in the class of 2016 and Brandon McIlwain outside Council Rock North in 2015. Jurkovec landed at Notre Dame before transferring to Boston College this offseason. McIlwain went to South Carolina before transferring to Cal to continue his college baseball career.

Pribula is the first York-area prospect to pick up an offer from the Nittany Lions since graduating from Central York Kyle Baublitz in the class of 2010.

The Nittany Lions picked up their first engagement in the Class of 2022 on Saturday, when the four-star Ohio receiver Kaden Saunders announced his promise. The show is also the leader in 247Sports Crystal Ball for Top247 tight end Jerry cross, to be announced on Tuesday night.
