“I said it’s a conspiracy theory, I have no time for it, I know nothing about it. And honestly, John, I get it. I mean, I get the media, especially CNN, chasing shining objects, “Say Pence.
“This is not a shiny object,” Berman replied. “The FBI considers this a dangerous group.”
The back-and-forth of Berman and Pence comes two days after Trump appeared to embrace QAnon supporters during a White House news release. Although he stopped accepting the theory himself, Trump said of her supporters: “I do not know much about the movement other than I understand that they like me very much, which I appreciate.”
Pence denied that these remarks threatened Trump to embrace the movement, saying, “I did not hear that. I did not hear anything. I heard the president talk about how he appreciates people who support him.”
White House Press Secretary Kayleigh McEnany said Thursday that she had never heard Trump talk about QAnon, and dismissed it as a media obsession with the president’s radar.
