Peloton 20 will pay 4 420 million to acquire the Fellness device manufacturer Priker

The problem was, Peloton was relatively uncomfortable handling all its new demands, doubling its production capacity and even setting up a new factory in Taiwan. That’s where Precor comes in: in addition to acting as a commercial unit within Peloton, the division between Whiteset, North Carolina and Woodenville in its 625,000-foot production area will eventually be used to churn out new Peloton trades and bikes.

The fact that future Piloton gear will at least be produced in the United States should mean the end of the delays that have plagued many recent orders. And besides, Prakers ’existing relationships with schools, hotels and gym chains could give Peloton a practical way into new facilities once the cove-related restrictions are lifted.

“By combining our talented and committed R&D and supply chain teams with incredibly capable precor teams and their decades of experience, we believe we will be able to win the global connected fitness market in both innovation and scale,” said William Lynch, president of Peloton.

The company says the first US-made Piloton hardware will roll the lines “before the end of the calendar year 2021”, which should put the joint venture in a solid position to move its business forward. The big question is whether people’s passion for Pelton hardware will stop after the epidemic is complete and finally over – for now, though the company is committed to growing.
