According to preliminary information, the PT (1 am ET) Fullerton Police Department was conducting an investigation into the sexual assault in Hollywood Hollywood just after 10 p.m., a spokesman told CPL. Billy Fu told CNN. Investigators sought LAPD’s help when they tried to contact a suspect in the Hollywood area, he said.
At some point, the suspect barricaded himself inside a building in Paramount Studios, a spokesman told CNN.
It is not clear whether the suspect is armed.
Aerial video shot by CNN-affiliated KCBS shows police officers and police cars near a building on the Paramount Studio Lot at the entrance to the studio. The Fullerton Police Department did not provide additional information about the suspect or the investigation and made further inquiries to the LAPD. CNN has reached out to the department.
