Paperwork of Andrew Yang files to run for mayor of New York City – NBC New York

The city’s Campaign Finance Board confirmed Wednesday that businessman and former presidential candidate Rewandrew Yang has run for mayor of New York City.

Yang’s filing is likely to lead to an immediate race that became a long-running rivalry between the city’s politicians. It comes just days after a new poll that will give his fellow Democrats a nice lead for mayor.

The universal basic income in the Democratic primary for the entrepreneurial president – American 1,000 per month for every American, was not funded by taxes on companies that benefited from automation. But, its widespread internet popularity will not translate into votes as it would hope.

They are reportedly considering bidding for mayor and the Public Policy Polling Survey released Monday was the second poll in recent weeks to show it led by Eric Adams, president of the Brooklyn borough.

According to a PPP poll, Yang will get 17 percent support in the Democratic primary. That gives him a 1-point lead over Adams, with all the other candidates back at least 10 points.

However the field is very far away. About 100 percent of voters said they would decide who to support, and Rip in this poll. There were also many public or potential candidates left, including Max Rose, who had recently filed papers to explore the run.

NYC’s primary election will be June 22 next year. As of Tuesday, at least 35 people had filed papers with the finance board to run for mayor.
