Panthers Offers PSL Ownership Options For 2020 Season As Capacity Decreases

The Panthers box office on Thursday shared its updated plans for the 2020 season with current PSL owners.

In an email, the team revealed that home games will have reduced seating capacity according to guidelines from state and local government, medical professionals, and public health officials.

“In order to accommodate as many PSL owners as possible in this reduced capacity scenario, we plan to make a limited number of home games available to each account,” the email indicates. “The number of games each PSL owner will have access to will be determined by factors such as approved capacity, overall demand and, in some cases, seat locations.”

The email asked PSL owners to choose to use tickets in 2020 or to do so without penalty. Those who choose not to participate will have the option to transfer credit to the 2021 season and future ticket purchases or receive a full refund.

The Panthers also made it clear that PSL ownership will not be affected by choosing to enter or exit.

For those who choose to opt for the 2020 season, email sets out several policies, including:

  • PSL owners will have the opportunity to select from a predetermined set of games.
  • Due to a socially distant seating configuration that meets health and safety protocols, PSL owners are unlikely to sit in their exact location.
  • Stadium capacity could change throughout the season, and PSL owners will be notified immediately of any possible impact on the ticket.
  • PSL owners will only be able to purchase seats within their specific price level. However, if inventory is not available, adjustments will be made on a case-by-case basis.
  • Season tickets will return to PSL’s current seating locations by 2021.
  • Enhanced protection measures will be implemented during the days of the event. While plans are still being finalized, some of the protective measures include: Health assessment protocols, required facial covers, access to sanitation stations throughout the facility, contactless / cashless transactions and amplified physical distancing through of the stadium signage.

The Panthers plan to provide additional communication outlining specific details about health and safety protocols and the timing of the seat selection process for those who choose to participate in the coming weeks.

For those who have purchased single game tickets, Ticketmaster plans to issue full refunds as those tickets are no longer available due to reduced capacity. If new tickets become available during the course of the season, Ticketmaster will email those who have purchased single game tickets with the opportunity to purchase part of the new inventory.
