Panera is testing a few new additions to its menu in Kansas.
According to the Kansas City Business Journal, Pan American Group, the chain’s second-largest franchise, launched Panira Tonight: Beer, Wine and Dine at Overland Park, Kansas, last week.
Pan American is considering expanding the testing program to three other locations in Johnson County, Kansas, and will announce those locations once their beer and wine licenses are approved, the newspaper said.
This is the first time Panera sells alcoholic beverages, according to Nation’s Restaurant News.

The five locations will offer Boulevard Brewing Co., located in Kansas City, as well as wine, beer and strong Celtzer from California-based Manageà Trois Wines.
The new drinks will be available after 4pm and will cost between $ 4 and 6 6, the restaurant business said.

According to the website, Pan American Group launched a new program to be compatible with Panera’s new Flatbread Pizza, which was released on 28 Oct.

If the test program is successful in Kansas, the franchisee plans to expand the test to Northern California and other markets, Pan American Group told Business Journal.

Franchise operator operator – owned by Flynn Restaurant Runt Group – operates 134 Paneras in the US
According to the website, Flynn Restaurant Runt Group also operates 460 Apple Pulby locations, 282 Taco Bell locations and 369 RB locations.
