The Green Bay Packers announced today that there will be no fans present at the 2020 Training Camp practices, the Packers Family Night and any preseason games at home.
“The tremendous support from the enthusiastic fans at Lambeau Field motivates us all in the Packers organization,” said Packers President / CEO Mark Murphy. “But after consulting with local health officials and reviewing the League and CDC guidelines, we felt we needed to make this difficult decision. We will miss seeing many of our fans, especially the young, during this exciting time of We will continue to work on protocols and logistics in the hope that we can welcome fans back to Lambeau Field for the regular season without jeopardizing the health of our players, team staff and fans.
“We ask our fans to help us in this effort by wearing masks and staying six feet away from unfamiliar members when they are in the community in the coming weeks.”
The Packers Family Night, hosted by Bellin Health, will still be held at Lambeau Field and will be televised to a state audience. The date and time of the event is still being finalized.
Plans for the regular season starter’s attendance are being finalized with details to be communicated in the near future. Season ticket holders have the option to “opt in” or “choose not to participate” in the ability to reserve tickets. New policies and security measures for the games will be implemented.
