HARRISBURG (KDKA) – The Pennsylvania Department of Health reports 479 new cases of coronavirus on Sunday, in addition to four more deaths.
The total number of cases statewide has increased to 89,854 since Saturday’s report.
The Health Department says that all 67 Pennsylvania counties have had COVID-19 cases. Current patients are isolated at home or receiving hospital treatment.
The number of deaths statewide has reached 6,753.
Most hospitalized patients are 65 years of age or older, and most deaths have occurred in patients 65 years of age or older.
There are 734,846 patients who have tested negative to date.
There are 634 unconfirmed or probable cases of COVID-19.
In nursing homes and personal care homes, there are 17,923 resident cases of COVID-19 and 3,346 cases of employees, bringing the total number of cases at those facilities to 21,296. In all, 4,592 residents have died from COVID-19 in Pennsylvania.
About 6,806 healthcare workers have been diagnosed with the virus.
