Amazing day for the Philadelphia Flyers Oskar Lindblom … the 23-year-old has officially completed radiation treatment for cancer!
The Swedish professional was diagnosed with Ewing sarcoma, a rare form of bone cancer, in December … and has been struggling ever since.
Lindblom reached a milestone in his recovery on Thursday … ringing the bell at the Abramson Cancer Center at Pennsylvania Hospital to indicate that his treatment is complete!
“I can’t even explain how I feel,” said Lindblom. “It feels like having a birthday, Christmas, and all those holidays at the same time.”
“It just feels amazing to be done. I can’t wait to go back to normal life again, start feeling like I’m living.”
“Everything from family to friends and fans, I can’t even explain how much it meant to me, especially at the beginning when it was a difficult time, I received all those kind words, it made me feel much better, calm and really helped, for sure” .
Lindblom showed his appreciation to all the workers who cared for him during treatment … by giving them a signed shirt.
Congratulations Oskar!
