The Orange County Health Care Agency reported 415 new cases of coronavirus and there were no new deaths until Sunday, July 19.
The cumulative total for Orange County cases is 29,426, with 492 deaths since local testing began in March.
The data on deaths in the county is either compiled from death certificates or collected throughout the investigation of the case and can take weeks to process, authorities say.
Of the 492 deaths, 232 were residents of skilled nursing facilities, 16 were in assisted living facilities, and two were on the homeless list.
Across the county, 346,071 confirmed tests for the coronavirus have been reported since testing began, with data through July 19. 4,974 tests daily were reported in the Sunday update.
The county estimates the number of recoveries from the virus is 13,581. The count of people who have recovered is based on the previous 28-day cumulative case count.
The state agency reports 665 current inpatients (suspected and positive) at 33 hospitals across the county as of Thursday.
The state’s coronavirus dashboard shows Orange County with at least 36% of its ICU beds available on Friday.
The county’s breakdown of deaths by age is as follows:
85 and older: 32% (152) 75-84: 26% (126) 65-74: 17% (88) 55-64: 13% (62) 45-54: 8% (43) 35-44: 3 % (13) 25-34: 1% (7) 18-24: <1% (1) 17 and younger: 0% Data released daily is preliminary and subject to change, officials emphasize.
