Breonna TaylorThe mother knew beforehand that her daughter would become the first person in addition to Oprah to appear only on the cover of O magazine … because O told her herself.
Sources with direct knowledge tell TMZ … The Oprah team contacted one of Breonna’s family attorneys, Ben crump, several weeks ago to see if he could contact his mother directly, Tamika Palmer.
We were told there was no question on the part of Breonna’s family … Oprah obtained Tamika’s number and called her in early June … shortly after O posted a birthday tribute to Breonna on Instagram.

We were told that it was the first time that the two women had spoken, and only they were on the call. It was then that Oprah revealed her plan to Tamika to feature Breonna on the cover and ask for her blessing.
Our sources say Tamika was “completely amazed” by Oprah’s gesture, calling it an incredible moment, and of course, she was honored that O had done something she had never done before as a tribute to Breonna.
As we report … the cover of Breonna it’s historical, since it is the only time that Oprah has not been there. She stepped aside for one of her latest print editions and dedicated it to Taylor, stating: “If you turn a blind eye to racism, you become an accessory.” On the cover are the words … “YOUR LIFE MATTERS”.
Breonna was killed by Louisville police on March 13 in her own home. on a failed raid on a “do not touch” order. So far, his death has not resulted in arrests, sparking countless protests … along with the death of George Floyd.
In an interview with “CBS This Morning,” Oprah also expressed her desire to protest, saying … “If it weren’t for COVID, I would be marching on the streets.”
Fortunately, he found another shocking way to do his part.
