The OnePlus Nord may have one of the most interesting front camera setups you can find on a smartphone, and it could notify low-budget competitors like the Google Pixel 4a.
An internal source speaking to Android Central claims that there will be two front cameras on the next low-budget OnePlus phone (possibly also called OnePlus Z). The pair of sensors will live in a cut in the upper left corner of the phone, with a 32MP main sensor and an 8MP wide-angle sensor.
With the iPhone SE and the upcoming Pixel 4a only with individual front cameras, the OnePlus Nord could navigate ahead of these two key competitors when it comes to front shots. We hope the Nord will also have up to three rear cameras, rumored to be a combination of main, ultra-wide, and macro sensors. This would again embarrass the individual rear cameras on the iPhone and Pixel.
Arguably these cameras could even make the Nord better than OnePlus 8 and OnePlus 8 Pro, as they only have individual 16MP cameras on the front. Megapixels aren’t the only factor in making a good photo, but they certainly help, as does having the ultra-wide sensor for large-group selfies.
Other teasers released by OnePlus have shown that the Nord will be teal, and that the launch event, at least in India, will take place on July 10. In terms of unofficial news, previous leaks have told us that the Nord will feature a 90Hz display, like OnePlus 8, and a Snapdragon 765G chipset, which will also give the phone 5G compatibility. A price is expected between $ 300 and $ 500, based on a leaked survey and statements by Carl Pei, co-founder and director of OnePlus Global at OnePlus.
The only unfortunate factor is that this phone is not currently expected to go on sale in the US We hope OnePlus will change its mind about it as the Nord looks like it could easily be one of our best cheap phone options. But it seems that UK users looking for a powerful and affordable phone will be able to get their hands on the latest OnePlus creation when it appears next month.
