The Minnesota Department of Health reported a COVID-19 death in Koochiching County Sunday. The person was 80 to 89 years old and was one of eight recently reported deaths across the state.
There are also four new cases reported in St. Louis County, one new case in Lake County, and two new cases in Koochiching. Statewide, 523 new cases were reported.
The new cases were among the 14,997 most comprehensive diagnostic tests.
The number of Minnesota residents with COVID-19 hospitalized in an intensive care unit has dropped to 143. The number of people hospitalized outside of an ICU setting is 145.
The Wisconsin Department of Health Services reported 457 new cases in the state. Positive cases were among 6,024 newly completed diagnostic tests. None of the new cases were reported in Douglas, Ashland or Bayfield counties. There were no new deaths in northwest Wisconsin on Sunday.
