Between July 11 and July 13, Williamson County and the Cities Health District reported 388 new cases of coronavirus, bringing the total to 4,042.

Currently 106 patients are hospitalized, 33 are in intensive care and 17 are on a ventilator, he said. The WCCHD also reported that 32% of hospital beds, 15% of ICU beds, and 72% of ventilators are available.

Over the weekend, the county reported five additional deaths, including a man in his 60s, a man in his 70s, a man in his 90s and two women in his 90s. As such, the current death toll is 56.

Due to the increase in cases, the state remains under a mask order that requires all Texans to wear a face that covers the nose and mouth in public spaces.

As of June 12, the county’s seven-day average positivity rate, or the rate at which tests give positive results, is 26.17%.

Here’s an update on total cases in cities of residence, including deaths, according to WCCHD.

  • Austin: 253
  • Cedar Park: 453
  • Georgetown: 716
  • Hutto: 290
  • Leander: 219
  • Round Rock: 1,467
  • Other: 483

If WCCHD cannot confirm the city of residence after three attempts, the case is considered “lost to follow-up” and is not included in the previous count, authorities said.

Authorities said the county cannot legally release specific counts in cities with fewer than 20,000 residents. For more information, such as gender and age breakdowns, visit the county dashboard.

WCCHD transitioned to the state’s contact tracking / contact system over the holiday weekend and is no longer able to access some of the data it previously displayed on the dashboard, such as the active and retrieved count, according to its website.
