Raymond Deskins, 61, of Sterling, Virginia, was charged with aggravated assault, the Loudoun County Sheriff’s Office said in a statement.
A woman shot a cellphone video of Saturday’s incident outside Trump’s club in Sterling and posted it on social media.
Michelle Bowman, public information officer for the Loudoun County Sheriff’s Office, confirmed to CNN that Raymond Deskins, who is in charge, is the man in the video.
CNN is unable to reach Deskins despite several attempts.
In the 24-second video, Deskins – who did not wear a mask – can verbally confront women who oppose Trump. It is not clear what happened before the video started.
Women can be heard telling them to walk away from them and back up. One woman yelled at him, “Get away from me! Get away from me!”
Another woman told him, “You don’t stand in anyone’s face,” to which he replied, “I’m not in anyone’s face.”
She replied, “You’re on my face – and you don’t have a mask, so you need to back up.”
It is only when the man is seen breathing forcefully, apparently in the direction of a woman. The women were shocked as the man returned with a smirk on his face.
One woman shouted, “It’s an attack!”
The man shouted back, “I breathed on you!” He then exhaled over the woman taking the video.
“Two different parties reported that he was attacked during a verbal argument outside the Trump National Golf Club,” the Loudoun County Sheriff’s Office said in a statement. “Law enforcement did not witness the incident and the video did not capture the entire interaction. An investigation was conducted at the scene and both parties were advised that they could go to a Loudown County Magistrate and obtain a warrant for the citizen.”
The LCSO later updated his statement, saying: “This afternoon, our deputies served on a warrant obtained by a citizen from a Loudoun County Magistrate. Was. “
