“I went shopping without a mask and that’s why,” Jennings wrote on Instagram. “I read a quote the other day that shook me – – it’s not used, it’s noticed.”
Jennings said “wake me up” and in the statement she wanted to stand up for her rights and freedoms without negligence or endangering others.
Jennings’ representative did not immediately respond to a request for comment from CNN.
This measure is contrary to the recommendations made by numerous public health experts to prevent the spread of coronavirus.
Jennings faced a quick response to his post: “I am a nurse and all healthcare workers are reusing PPE and we do not have regular access to testing. We risk ourselves every day to care for patients. What everyone else can do is social distance and wear masks in public. “
Another user wrote, “This is very selfish and ignorant.”
“For those who listen to where I come from, I appreciate your openness and scholarship. For those who signed the agreement, I appreciate you for expressing your views. Better than that, ‘I totally admit that addressing such an emotional, layered, vague and polarizing topic on social media was not a smart thing.
CNN’s Wine Sterling, Holly Yan and Sandy Lamott contributed to the report.
