Olympia Ohanian, the 2-year-old daughter of Serena Williams, is co-owner of the NWSL team


On the list of the group that owns the newest team in the National League for Women’s Soccer is a 2-year-old boy.

Serena Williams and husband Alexis Ohanian brought their daughter Olympia Ohanian, Jr. as part of a stake in the Los Angeles expansion franchise property that has not yet been named and was awarded Tuesday.

Ohanian led the investment drive for the franchise with a star-studded group of owners that includes actresses Natalie Portman and Jessica Chastain, as well as 14 former players from the U.S. Women’s National Team, including Mia Hamm and Abby Wambach. .

Olympia’s Twitter page, yes, does have a Twitter page, it announced its involvement in the property with the franchise named Angel City on Tuesday morning.

Olympia is also among the list of owners in the NWSL announcement.

Why give a child a property stake?

Ohanian explained why she wants her 2-year-old son to have a stake in a sports franchise in a statement.

“As someone who spends hours kicking a soccer ball with my 2-year-old daughter, I want her to have a front row seat for this revolution,” wrote Ohanian. “I am personally investing on behalf of my family because creating more opportunities in women’s sports is important to my wife and me, and we want to be part of making a better future for our daughter.”
