It took Wyatt Davis just one season as a starter to establish himself as one of the Big Ten’s best offensive linemen of the past decade.
After earning All-American honors in his first season as Ohio State’s starting right guard last year, Davis was named Tuesday as one of five offensive linemen on BTN’s All-Decade team in the 2010s, becoming the first player on the team to continue playing college football in the 2020s.

“I was so excited when I got the news,” Davis said Tuesday in an interview with BTN. “I still have to finish strong, but it’s definitely a nice thing to remember.”

Entering the 2020 season, Davis is widely regarded as the best guard in college football. Although he probably would have been a first-round pick if he entered the 2020 NFL draft, Davis chose to stay at Ohio State for his junior red-shirt season, in which he will lead the Buckeyes’ offensive line alongside fellow starters Josh Myers and Thayer. While the Big Ten has yet to announce its entire All-Decade team, selections are rolling out over the course of the week, Revsine told Davis that he is the only non-specialist who is still playing Big Ten soccer. to make the list of the entire decade.
Davis was one of two Ohio State offensive linemen named to the BTN All-Decade team, which is being voted on by a panel that includes former Ohio State coach Urban Meyer and former Buckeye players Stanley Jackson, James Laurinaitis and Joshua Perry, among others.

Former Ohio State guard / center Billy Price, a four-year starter for the Buckeyes from 2014-17, was also named to the All-Decade team on Tuesday.

Price started a school record of 55 consecutive games for the Buckeyes, starting as the left guard for the 2014 national championship team and again in 2015 before moving to the right guard in 2016 and center in 2017. He earned All-American honors. of the first team in each one. Out of his past two seasons, he also earned the Rimington Trophy for Best College Football Center and the Big Ten Offensive Lineman of the Year Award in his senior season.

Ezekiel Elliott was named as a second-team All-Decade pick in the running back, behind Jonathan Taylor of Wisconsin and Saquon Barkley of Penn State, while Ryan Shazier was named as a second-team pick at linebacker, behind Devin Bush. from Michigan, Josey Jewell from Iowa and Chris Borland from Wisconsin.
BTN will announce its tight ends and defensive backs throughout the decade on Wednesday, wide receivers and defensive linemen on Thursday and quarterbacks, specialists and head coach on Friday.
