“I am confident that the voice of Ohio was heard in a fair and honest election,” Ohio Secretary of State Frank LaRois told the News Center in an interview.

Republican LaRoze said Trump has every right to pursue legitimate lawsuits but would ignore democracy if all of his challenges to the outcome turn out to be unfounded. “Believing in the election results is one of the foundations of our lifestyle in a democracy,” he said.

“When people find conspiracies about elections that are not based on reality, they are harmful and irresponsible and should not happen,” LR Rose said, according to the Associated Press. “Because of the fact that elections are run better and more honestly, really, I think they never came.”

The state saw a record turnout this election season – a large increase in early and absentee voting due to the coronavirus epidemic.
