Officials report 390 new COVID-19 cases, 6 new deaths related to the virus

San Antonio Assistant City Manager and Interim Metro Health Director Dr. Colin Bridger and Baxter County Judge Nelson Wolfe updated the community about the local response to COVID-19 in their daily briefing Friday night.

Bridger Bexar County by Friday 0, new cases increase 69 ,. Of CO cases were reported. Six new deaths have been reported today.

The 7-day moving average of the case is 300.

Bridger said the community is concerned about the COVID-19 precautions taken locally. In the case spread three times faster than the San Antonio area.

City officials also reported that 353 patients are hospitalized, 126 are in the intensive care unit and 61 are on ventilators. There is 10% staff bed available and 65% ventilator available.

Bridger said 32 were hospitalized in the last 24 hours. He said San Antonio hospitals currently have 62 Covid-19 patients from El Paso, an increase of one patient since Tuesday.

Wolfe said 2,843 COVID-19 tests were conducted at various locations in the area on Friday.
