Even better, she has already decided that this plan is the tradition of the keeper and the new Kalinga family.
“When you have your own kids, you can create that kind of stuff and then just decide what you’re going to do every year,” she told Birch.
To touch further on the experience is that Novak already has a meaningful connection with Catherine, Kaling’s three-year-old daughter.
“Her godfather is BJ Novak, and she will show up in Santa’s costume, and go to our living room, where it’s the tree.” The idea came about because epidemics have made visiting Santa Claus really impossible this year, and “he’s a baby who doesn’t cry and doesn’t scream.”
The whole plan certainly looks like something that will happen on “Office Fees” – we can now portray epidemic-driven madness – but hopefully this doesn’t end in any kind of bizarre tragedy.

We can only imagine that Novak’s Ryan slammed his beard and hat halfway through the surprise and told Mindy Kelly that he couldn’t do this, that she was somewhere else and just haunted, making her baby shocking and horrible.
Luckily, this is real life and their friendship is stronger than their relationship on this show – and they are very good people.
Happily, Mindy had one more detail to share. “Right now you know, we are Hindus and the other is Jewish, so this is a cultural allotment on our part.” In a way, it’s more sweet because it makes the new tradition more personal.
