Odell Beckham rejects Pats’ commercial talk, has’ unfinished business’

Cam Newton worked with Odell Beckham Jr. this offseason. With the quarterback signing in New England this week, some have already linked the two, because each player must always be speculated as a commercial bait for the Patriots (it’s a statute).

Whether it’s innocent rumors or abundant speculation, OBJ quickly rejected the notion that they would move him to New England.

After comedian Bob Menery tweeted “@obj to New England? Hmmmm. Welcome to New England Cam! #Doyourjob”. Beckham replied, “Lol, no sir boss! But you got my brother, wishing for nothing but the best and LUV.”

Then, Los Angeles Dodgers pitcher Alex Wood tweeted, “@obj the Patriots before the season ends. BANK IT!” The cited tweeted: “You can find me at The LAND homie! We have unfinished business.”

The speculation surrounding Beckham never ceases. Business rumors swirled amid his disappointing 2019 campaign when he dealt with injury and never developed a relationship with QB Baker Mayfield. Coach Kevin Stefanski recently noted that Beckham has returned to 100 percent and is ready for training camp. Staying healthy and creating a recovery season would help Beckham and the Browns get closer to finishing that business.

Even if the Patriots need a game-changing dynamic receiver like Beckham, the Browns don’t seem interested in swapping OBJs; Bill Belichick is unlikely to part with commercial assets to achieve this; usually looking for bargains; New England currently does not have the salary cap space; And Beckham still doesn’t seem interested in leaving his best friend Jarvis Landry in Cleveland.
