Writing this Sims 4 Nifty Knitting Stuff Pack review took a few steps. First impressions of the package were not great – the pack felt it was missing something and compared to the previous package voted for by the community, Laundry Day (a personal favorite), it felt like it was missing something.
Mar de the whole point of a Sims 4 Stuff Pack is that it just added… .stuff. And once you start digging into things, The Sims 4 Nifty Knitting adds a lot of goodness, even if that guod feels a little incomplete.
Nifty Knitting: Lots of objects and things for seniors to do
Alden are often ignored in The Sims 4 and this package adds a little more to their existence. Sure, it’s kind of a cliché to have grandma sitting on a rocking chair thinking of her childhood, but for Summers who enjoy realistic gameplay, this is a great way to expand their stories.
Associated with the new aspiration of Lord / Lady of the Knits, there is some good replay value for Summers who enjoy making stories.
The Sweater Quick is a bit fun for naughty players and the game and the “Teach To Knit” are fun for improvement play for family-style for legacy Summers.
More afraid of your money
The real value for money in The Sims 4 Nifty Knitting Stuff Pack is all the extra items that Sims can knit – both clothing and objects.
De package is worth the price for those only if you are a builder / decorator. The clothes, like the knitted objects, can all be unlocked with cheats, so if you just want to build nice little rooms, knock yourself out.
Actually, we recorded screenshots for this review, we actually gave up (sorry!), Because there were just as many swatches in debug mode for all knit items…. and we may not have accidentally saved an entire bundle.
But the standard items shipped with the package are a bit underwhelming. De craft type articles in the Nifty Knitting Stuff Pack are pretty fun, if a little itsy. Some, however, are great equal to items from Tiny Living, which leads us to the point of the not so good bits about this suit.
Why Nifty Knitting does not feel complete
We will start with the most obvious. Many of the objects look very similar to the one that came with Tiny Living. A Bowling Night Stuff, but ahem… we leave that for another day.
Not that recycling is a bad thing, but many of the recently released packages feel like they could be combined into one central expansion package. However, that criticism is not exactly new.
The release of My First Pet Stuff Pack came under fire for doing just that as it followed the release of Cats and Dogs.
Plopsy flopsy
Plopsy, while useful for knit items, cannot be used to list or sell other items, making the replay value of one of the biggest occupations something of a let-down. But, as we said, we need to remember that the point is to add things … not gameplay.
And here’s the thing: because of community involvement, the developers were transparent about how things work and why this was not an option, the disappointment in discovering that it was a little easier to take.
The best part about the Sims 4 Nifty Knitting Stuff Pack was the blog posts detailing and sharing the development journey. It was a reminder that open and clear communication not only helps players understand the complex process of game development, but also softens the blow if packages do not meet the expectation.
We love speculation and hints as much as the following Summer, but sometimes it helps to know a little more instead of shooting in the dark for something that might never happen. You know, like an underwater like Star Wars or whatever it is Game Pack, right?
we are not pleading for the removal of the mystery as excitement and the hype form the anticipation of all packs. Do not … but Sims (including us!) Can be removed a bit if there is a leak about a new Sims 4 package – intentional or not.
Balancing a complete separation between the Sims community and the process of releasing new packages – especially in these early days – is a very difficult task. Overall, like most Stuff Packs, Nifty Knitting is a lot to enjoy. If you want a little treat for your game, it’s quite enough to be worth it. But if you are on a tight budget, you are better off saving than waiting for a sale on Game Packs or Expansion Packs.

Reward Feature: Sacred Knitting Knowledge – With this feature, Sims get enhanced benefits for teaching other Sims how to knit. Sims are also immune to the vicious magic of the Sweater curse, and can make affected Sims disappear from his snare. Finally, Sims have the ability to create unique knit items, such as a very special companion from a foreign land, like The Forbidden Sweater, which is honestly forbidden for a reason.
