Police are searching for six suspects who punched an Asian woman several times for not wearing a mask and gave her “anti-Asian statements” about coronavirus on a subway train.
At 1.45pm on Dec. 17, the group – three women and three men – a 32-year-old woman, boarded a train southeast of West 4th Street Station in Manhattan.
According to ABC 7, police said he was accused of not wearing a mask and made anti-Asian statements about the virus.
Their verbal assault became physical and the victim was repeatedly burned in the face before the group fled.

The victim was left with bruises but refused medical help.
NYPD’s Hate Crimes Task Force is investigating the incident.
On Sunday, police shared four surveillance photos of the six suspects, seeking their help in identifying them and offering a reward of up to $ 2,500.
Since the outbreak began, there have been reports of racist attacks against Asian Americans as the first reports from Wuhan, China.
