NYC rages after questioning mother after being caught without bail

Defendant Manhattan Maniac, who started the violent weekend, was asked if he could talk to his mom after he was ordered arrested without bail on Monday.

“Can I contact my mother?” Asked the suspect, Brian Thompson – who allegedly injured 10 people and killed two vehicles in an hour-long felony – at the end of his Manhattan Criminal Court indictment.

Thompson’s lawyer, Evan Rock, replied that he would arrange something between the pair.

Thompson, 43, of Atlantic City, NJ, has been charged with sabotage by a wooden club between 6:30 pm and 7:30 pm on Saturday from Tribeca to Chelsea.

“In about an hour, the defendant used a piece of tree trunk and another hard object of wood to commit a series of crimes,” Assistant District Attorney Marissa Cairo told Judge Michael Frishman during a live stream hearing, including a video from Thompson’s prison room.

In one of the incidents, the accused repeatedly hit the victim Uber driver in the head for stealing his car, Cairo said in a request for 200 200,000 cash bail or a 600 600,000 bond for Thompson.

“Defendant also used a wooden object to kill three people [they were] The subway platform was waiting for the MTA worker after the suspect climbed the stairs of the Canal Street station, the ADA said.

Thompson suddenly intervened, “It’s all wrong!

“I was going home!” He claimed. “I was trying to get on the train, but the MTA guy …”

The judge asked the suspect to remain calm, asking Thompson to answer, “Yes sir.”

Thompson was told to close the door of his prison cell to keep the noise low and said he could not because of his shawl.

“I got the rubbish in my nose that I’m trying to get out of.” ”

Thompson’s lawyer asked the judge to order a psychiatric examination for his client.

When the judge asked him why, Rock replied, “My conversation with my client clearly showed me that there is a break with his reality, Judge.

The lawyer said, “His conversation … the client’s appearance, the things of that nature.”

The judge ordered an examination – going even further when prosecutors asked for bail and Thumpson to be remanded.

In an argument for bail, the ADA noted that during Thompson’s alleged spree, he “robbed another driver of his car, and then drove around town for that period.

“When he was finally arrested, the police asked the defendant to proceed. He refused.

“He eventually collided with a police vehicle and continued to resist arrest,” Caro said.

She said that while Thompson has “no criminal record … looking at the defendant’s behavior, it already shows that he does not listen to orders or instructions.”

The judge ordered Thompson to be remanded until at least his next court date, January 19.

The suspect faces four counts in the second degree, two counts of robbery in the first degree, and two counts of criminal mischief in the third degree.

Law enforcement sources said Thompson has a sealed arrest in New York City. What it is is unclear.

Records show that he was also convicted in 2007 of passing bad checks in Cadden County, NJ, and was granted probation a year later.
