NY Giants co-owner Steve Tisch’s daughter Hilary dies of suicide at 36


East Rutherford, NJ – The co-owner of Steve Tisch of the New York Giants has died at 36, the family announced Monday.

Hilary Anne Tisch died Monday in a hospital after attempting suicide over the weekend, TMZ reports. Additional details have not been released.

The family did not name a cause of death but said they had struggled with depression.

“Hilary was a friendly, caring, and wonderful person,” the Tisch family said in a statement released through the NFL team. ‘Her mother, sisters, brothers and I have been devastated by her passing. It leaves a hole in our hearts and our lives. ”

“She, like so many others, bravely fought the disease of depression for as long as she could,” the statement continued. ‘We love and will miss her very much. Our family is completely heartbroken and mourns his tragic loss. We ask for privacy in this very difficult time. ”

According to People magazine, Hilary Tisch was a jewelry designer, geologist, and creative consultant for the LA brand Doen.

Co-owner of Giants expressed sympathy in a statement issued Monday: ‘Our hearts are heavy for her loss of Hilary. We pray for their peace and comfort. ”

Hilary is survived by her parents, Steve and Patsy Tisch, and her siblings Will Tisch and his wife Grace, Elizabeth Tisch, Holden Tisch and Zachary Tisch.

Steve Tisch is the son of former Giants co-owner Bob Tisch and has served as chairman and executive vice president of the football team since 2005. Steve Tisch is also a film producer whose credits include “Risky Business,” “Forrest Gump,” “Seven Pounds,” “The Equalizer” and the upcoming “Masters of the Universe” remake.
