Nvidia today unveiled its new 9,399 GeForce RTX 3060 Ti card. It is the latest addition to the company’s RTX 3000 series lineup and is the most affordable yet. Nvidia says the RTX 3060 is designed to outperform both the last-generation RTX 2080 and RTX 2080 Super. On average, Nvidia says it will be 40 percent faster than its predecessor, the RTX 2060 Super.
The RTX 3060T2G will be available worldwide in December, priced at 39 9,399, 9 9,369 in the UK and 34 8,348 (excluding taxes). The card itself looks like the RTX 3070 and is similar in size. It includes the same traditional dual-fan setup. The main visual difference is that the RTX 3060T uses a lighter shade of gray instead of the darker gray seen on current RTX 3000 series cards.
The RTX 3060T comes with 8GB of video memory, a base clock of 1410 MHz, and a boost clock of 1665 MHz. It’s a typical dual-slot design with Nvidia’s new 12-pin power connector. Nvidia is recommending a 600W power supply for the RTX 3060T, and the card can draw 200 watts of power.
Like the rest of Nvidia’s RTX 3000 cards, the RTX 3060T will be capable of real-time ray tracing and will include DLSS support and the ability to run the Nvidia suite of RTX applications. Nvidia’s RTX 3060T Founders Edition card goes on sale on December 2nd at a price of 399, and a variety of third-party cards will be available.
