At least four popular Arcata Restaurant Rants chose to start last week when their employees either tested positive for Covid-19 or came in contact with someone who tested positive for the virus.
Plaza Grill, Salt Fish House, Campground and Wild Flower Cafe and Bakery announced last week the temporary closure of everyone on their respective social media accounts.
“We’ve received unfortunate news that one of our employees has tested positive for the Covid-19,” Plaza Grill said on Facebook. “We are effectively shutting down all services. This includes going to our Thanksgiving books. We are moving forward with extreme safety and caution. We will inspect all our employees and do a thorough cleaning of our entire restaurant. We will post an update when we have the information resumed. We sincerely apologize for this unfortunate circumstance and hope that everyone stays safe and healthy during the holiday season! ”
To date, all but one business are closed. Wild Flower Cafe announced yesterday that it would reopen today after deciding that none of its employees had been infected with the virus.
Wildflower Cafe wrote on Facebook, “We thank you all so much for all the patience, support and kind words this week as we face this challenge.” “After receiving the negative test result, we are happy to say that all our staff are healthy and ready to work. We will resume our normal hours. “
Closed rest restaurants Runt said they will announce plans to reopen on social media.
Additionally, the Arcata pub at Cremery is reported to have closed its doors for precautionary reasons as local coronavirus cases continue to grow.
“With the growing number of Covid-19 cases in our community, we feel it is in the best interest of our staff, business and community to keep our doors closed until further notice,” Pub said on Facebook. “We apologize for any inconvenience and confusion.”
