Notre Dame should never program Liberty in soccer (or any sport)

We are 72 or 73 days from the first game of the college football season for Notre Dame Fighting Irish (depending on how you want to count). No one knows for sure how the season takes shape with the increase in positive tests for positive coronaviruses across the country. As if really … we are all guessing at this point and going with the flow.

A TRIPLE OPTION!

NEVER NEVER NEVER MAKE A FLAME OF FREEDOM PROGRAM

I can’t believe I’m writing about Liberty Flames on two consecutive days here at OFD, but here we are. On Wednesday we learned that the Irish contacted Liberty transfer corner Tayvion Land, and then later that day I came across this tweet from Jason Kirk.

In short, Liberty is trying to be like Notre Dame (ridiculous as it may seem). Kirk suggests, and I completely agree, what if I don’t? It’s a good article, and while you’re reviewing it, you can subscribe to their newsletter.

IT’S THE NAVY OF THE UNITED STATES

I opted for the press conference on Wednesday with Navy Midshipmen head coach Ken Niumatalolo. Fortunately for all of us, Tyler James was on the call and has all the products for us on how they are dealing with COVID-19, breaking a new quarterback and a silver lining to all of this that Ken believes is there. .

TALKING ABOUT A UNIVERSITY FOOTBALL SEASON

Dennis Dodd of CBS takes a look at the country and all the positive cases of COVID-19 within soccer programs, and asks: are we opening too soon?

THERE IS A BLUE CHIPPER ON THE LINE

I firmly believe that Tommy Tremble is going to have a great season in tight end for the Irish. But … that doesn’t mean I think the window that opens for more out-of-position production is very small. Brock Wright will certainly be part of the Irish plan, but so could 5-star Michael Mayer.
