André Sørensen has resigned from his position as director of XXL Norway due to personal reasons related to illness in immediate family, stated in a stock exchange announcement on Monday.

– We want to thank André for his effort and dedication during his time at XXL. We wish him all the best for the future, says XXL CEO Pål Wibe.

He adds that the process of finding a successor begins immediately.

– I am confident that we will find a great replacement for André, emphasizes Wibe.

Sørensen introduced himself as director of XXL Norway in October last year, thus taking over from Anders Kjellén.

The latter had then been in a media storm after several negative E24 revelations, and lamented, among other things, his own rhetoric about stockpiling, where he claimed that XXL “let the enemy bleed.”

Sørensen is a former director of Retail Norway at electronics giant Elkjøp.

He owns 20,000 XXL shares. In connection with the termination, he sold his 1,239 shares in XXL Management Invest.

Human Resources Manager Tolle Grøterud will now take over as Director of XXL Norway temporarily.
