The woman is accused of influencing the evidence. According to the police, the woman has an unfamiliar relationship with a 33-year-old man who was already arrested this summer.
Murdered in his own home
It was on July 12 of this year when Christian Halvorsen, 43, was found dead in front of his own home in Askim. Police have confirmed that he died of gunshot wounds, but it was not clear for a long time where the murder weapon was.
Two weeks after the murder, two people were arrested in the case. One of them, a 33-year-old man, remains in detention. According to the police, he has admitted his participation in the murder during interrogation, but does not admit criminal guilt.
A 33-year-old friend of the defendant has been arrested. Defender Jan Kildahl says the 38-year-old has confirmed the facts.
– She still doesn’t admit guilt. She says she didn’t know what she destroyed was related to a murder case, Kildahl says.
The woman has been released.
I found the murder weapon
In November, the police received help from navy divers to search for the murder weapon in a small pond in Askim.
Police now confirm that a weapon was found during the search and that this has been investigated by Kripos technicians.
– The police have concluded that this is the murder weapon. For the sake of investigation, we cannot be more specific about the type of firearms in question, Lutro says in the press release.

This summer, another man was also arrested in the case. The 50-year-old still has formal defendant status, but was already released in mid-October. Police say the suspicion against him has weakened.
