On the night of Sunday, October 25, the clock will be turned back one hour. Trade and Industry Minister Iselin Nybø (V) says she regrets that we have another hour in 2020.

– As Minister of Time, I deeply regret that 2020 is another hour, this has already been a very demanding year for many, says the Minister of Commerce and Industry Iselin Nybø in a message to NTB.

She is responsible for the Adjustment Service and therefore also for the exact time in this country.

– We can also choose to look brighter on it. When we turn the clock back, the night lengthens an hour. This means that when we get up on Sunday, the sun has managed to rise a little higher above the horizon than at the same time the day before, and we have a brighter morning than we would have, says the Minister of Commerce and Industry.

In 2018, the European Commission put forward a proposal to abolish the clock back and forth scheme. But it is not known how it will go with the proposal. The Council has not adopted the European Commission proposal, which the European Parliament supported last year. It is also unclear whether the EU will continue to work on the proposal.
