The case is being updated!
Television chef Wenche Andersen (65) was infected with the corona virus in mid-March, he says in an interview on Good Morning Norway. The well-known and beloved chef disappeared from television in mid-March due to illness. She explains that she later experienced flu-like symptoms but was not tested.
Andersen was quarantined and closed for more than two weeks. Now, almost two months later, the 65-year-old man was confirmed to be infected with the coronavirus.
– I was summoned to do a subsequent test, most likely because I am in the risk group, that is, more than 65 years old. It was positive for antibodies against the crown, says Andersen in the interview.
The television chef goes on to say that he closed the door and locked himself at home when he discovered she was infected.
I closed the door and stayed home. My biggest fear was infecting others, says Wenche, who can also say that he doesn’t know anyone, whether at work or privately, who has been infected, he says in the interview.
Andersen emphasizes that today she is fully recovered from the virus that has so far infected more than 8,000 Norwegians and killed 229.

Popular television character
For more than 20 years, Wenche Andersen stood up to cook in front of the cameras in TV studio 2, and for many is the symbol of the popular morning show.
When Dagbladet met Andersen in 2018 and asked him about his biggest kitchen mistake of all time, he had no doubts:
– I must pour a little sugar in the caramel before sending it. When I did this, I turned off the plate and put on makeup. I hadn’t sat there long before the fire alarm went off throughout the TV2 house, and they were all evacuated on the street, he said.
Little did Andersen know that it was she who had caused the smoke to develop, leading to the full emergency fire of three fire trucks and an ambulance. TV2 News Channel had to cancel the broadcast and the entire broadcast of Good Morning Norway was canceled.
– It turned out that it was all my fault! Still, I hadn’t turned off the plate on my new stove. The sugar had burned properly and the smoke spread quickly, he said.
