State meteorologist Kristian Gislefoss heralds southern and eastern Norway as the definitive weather winner in the upcoming long-term period.
– It is not often that it is as easy to announce a weather winner as it is for this weekend. The south and east of Norway will have a lot of good weather, says Gislefoss.
Although the calendar relentlessly indicates autumn, many places in southern and eastern Norway will have a taste of summer again on Friday.
– The sun is shining and in several places you will get temperatures of up to 23-24 degrees, says the meteorologist.
Lovely weekend
Gislefoss is confident that the people of southern and eastern Norway will have a beautiful weekend.
– After a bitter north wind on Wednesday and a cold start to the day on Thursday, it will be from Friday summer again for a while. The weekend will also be pleasant with sun and temperatures below 20 degrees.
The state meteorologist also says that “the east side of the mountain is looking great this weekend.”
– For example, there seem to be good opportunities for a good trip to the summit in Galdhøpiggen on Saturday, but I encourage people to check the year before setting out on a trip, says Gislefoss.
The good weather in southern and eastern Norway will persist for some time next week.
– Starting in the middle of next week, these parts of the country will probably also be visited by rainfall. You can probably get wet starting Wednesday, says Gislefoss.

The host loser
As easy as announcing the winner of the time, it is up to the meteorologist to establish that the northern people will draw the shortest straw in the next period.
– We are simply talking about a gray climate ahead. Friday and Saturday will be so wet that a hazard warning is sent about a lot of local rainfall. In Nordland, there can be between 70 and 100 millimeters of rain in 24 hours, from night to Friday and from night to Saturday. For Troms, 40 to 60 millimeters are forecast, and there the precipitation will last well beyond Saturday, says Gislefoss.

– There will also be some wind, especially in Finnmark, with stiff to strong winds in the coming days. A gust wind warning may be sent. For the time being, it will remain gray in the north, with periodic gales from the southwest and west, Gislefoss says.
The northern parts of the country also cannot expect temperatures above 8-10 degrees.
– It will be a suitable autumn, says the meteorologist.
Western Norway and Trøndelag
In western Norway, there will be rain tomorrow and good weather on Saturday, before the rain resumes from Sunday and throughout the week. Temperatures of just under 15 degrees are expected.
For the people of Trøndelag, the time ahead will be more varied.
– It will probably be quite sunny on Saturday, but showers are not far. The climate will be characterized by rain and rain, but less than in western Norway. The temperature will be just under 15 degrees, says Gislefoss.
