«We dance» 2020: – The funeral of the grandmother left

Last Saturday, the kick-off shot was fired for the 16th season of “Skal vi danse”, where twelve celebrities will swing on the track and fight to become Norway’s next dancing lion.

On Saturday, the stage was set for another night full of glamor, dancing and fun.

Tradition says that none of the contestants smoked outside of the first program last weekend, but now the competition begins in earnest.

Dancing doesn’t last forever, and Øystein Lihaug Solberg was the first to leave this year’s season. He and his partner Maria scored the fewest points and therefore the dance adventure is over.

The reality show participant and his dance partner got 20 points for their fast step, which was one more point than what they got last Saturday. But that was not enough to join the competition.

The profile of “Ex on The Beach” doesn’t hide the fact that it was awkward coming out as first man.

– I did not expect. I’m not one of the worst at all, so I think it was difficult to escape, he tells Dagbladet.

Lihaug Solberg says she has trained a lot and even abandoned her grandmother’s funeral on Friday because she had to train. Therefore, he believes that it is more difficult to be voted first.

– I didn’t show up for the funeral, because I wanted to focus on this. If he had known he was going to explode, of course he would have gone to the funeral, he tells Dagbladet.

Lihaug Solberg believes that the release of “Shall we dance” is related to his experience as a participant in reality.

– I don’t think we could have done it any other way, he tells Dagbladet.

Despite the pain

There was a lot of excitement associated with Saturday’s episode, as this is the first episode where some of the contestants have to drop out of the competition.

The evening has featured a number of highlights. The first to come out was youtuber Agnete “Agnetesh” Huseby, who along with her dance partner Bjørn served the audience with a swift and rocking stride.

– I understand very well that all children love you, said Judge Trine Dehli Cleve, and continued:

– All things considered, I think you took a very good quick step.

In total, she and her dance partner received 22 points for tonight’s dance.

NRK host and physicist Andreas Wahl came in second, slowfoxing with his dance partner Mai, to the beat of Sondre Justad. They collected 24 points for that.

For host Synnøve Skarbø (49), the evening dance was a painful affair. He danced with a rib injury suffered during dance training.

– It has been a difficult week, admitted Skarbø after having danced.

The judges were also not entirely convinced by the efforts of Skarbø and the dance partner on Saturday, despite the fact that he danced with an injured rib.

– It doesn’t feel so good, Skarbø said after it became clear that she and her dance partner Santino got 17 points for their rumba.

Very impressed

Last weekend, as mentioned, no one left the competition, but it was certainly elite athlete Birgit Skarstein (31) who stole the show. She moved the entire room to tears when her dance partner, Phillip, lifted her out of the wheelchair and carried her airy, in the middle of the dance.

Skarstein is the first to dance in a wheelchair in “Skal vi danse” and is therefore historical. There was great excitement about what the dance would be like, and the cheers were loud as she and her dance partner entered the parquet.

They also got the highest score of the night: 28.

– I am so incredibly proud of you because I know you are a strong person, Birgit. When you go for something, you do it there. “I never doubted for a second that I should succeed on the floor,” Judge Trine Dehli Cleve said after Skarstein’s impressive dance on this fall’s first show “We Dance.”
